Inauguration
Presidential Inauguration to be Open Captioned and Sign Interpreted!
At the Presidential Inauguration in January, Sign Language Interpreters will be located at designated positions within most ticketed sections. There also will be large television screens with open captioning positioned on the Capitol Plaza and within the Mall Standing Area.

The first meeting of “Arts for All,” the committee which will advocate to area theaters to caption live shows, will be 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at The Hearing Speech & Deaf Center (2528 Burnet Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45219) in the 4th floor conference room. Please RSVP to CDonnellon@HearingSpeechDeaf.com

We will also review what captioning has happened in Cincinnati as well as nationally. The committee will decide how to proceed from here. This is an excellent opportunity for us to ban together to make a difference in our community!
